Executive member of APNU, Robert Corbin, told a massive gathering at the Political Movement Rally at Hopetown, West Coast Berbice, that they should be careful what they do over the next few days.
“The PPP will be out for mischief. Stay far away from them and their cup because that cup has poison, like a poisoned chalice.”
He told the crowd, “We must reject the cup; they want to bribe you. Don’t touch that cup, because all kinds of evil things are in “that cup” including, drugs, death, destruction and corruption”.
He called it “The Cup of Cyanide” reminding persons of the infamous Jim Jones massacre.
Corbin spoke about the many cases of discrimination perpetrated against the people of Guyana, including those of West Coast of Berbice.
He recalled one particular incident when the residents in Hopetown were asked to pay $5M to connect to a nearby Well to get water. The community has been without the commodity for years. Now close to election this year, they were told that they could get the water free.
He told the crowd why they should vote for the APNU movement since they have the best team with the brightest sons in Guyana to run the country. “We have people with the necessary education, experience and class to run this country. The team assembled by APNU has the brightest sons and daughters in the country. They portray and represent our multi-racial nation. Corbin in his address lashed out at the PPP for their incompetence and their apathetic performance that has destroyed this Country.”
Corbin stated that the PPP is full of and deals with people of questionable character, “including Kwame Mc Coy and Roger Khan, Ed Ahmad and the list goes on.
He added, “Jagdeo can’t sue me because I am talking the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth”.
“The Robb Street gang of thieves, yes-men, soup drinkers, and bandits is abusing power.”
