Donate 3rd place cash ($500,000) & trophy
Prime Minister, The Honorable Samuel Hinds once again thrown his weight behind the Kashif and Shanghai tournament which has provided Twenty-Two of years of unbroken excitement to football fans in Guyana and further afield.
The presentation took place yesterday at the Prime Minister Wight’s Lane, Kingston, Office where he donated the 3rd place prize of $500,000 and trophy. Two overseas teams from the Twin Island Republic of Trinidad & Tobago and Barbados will be among the 18

teams that will be battling for the attractive prizes and incentives on offer in this edition of the year end spectacle.
The first place prize, a whopping One Pound of Gold was bequeathed by Aruwai Mining Enterprise Inc. which presentation was made on Wednesday, a number of other partners have also contributed.
Prime Minister Hinds lauded the continued efforts of the K&S Organisation for bringing a tournament of quality to the Guyanese fans for so many years. he wished the teams all the best. Responding on behalf of the Organisers was Co-Director Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major who expressed gratitude to PM Hinds for his continued support.
The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) and Guyana Football Referees Council (GFRC) are also partners with the tournament to ensure its smooth running along with the Guyana Police Force.
Tournament fixtures will be released by this weekend.
