The New Building Society (NBS) 2nd Division cricket competition organised
by the Berbice Cricket Board
(BCB) continued recently with Cotton Tree Die Hard’s opening batsman Jagdeo Persaud slamming 94 (6×4 5×6) and teammate Shazam Gafoor hitting a brilliant 90 (8×4 7×6) to guide their team to 237 for 7 in their allotted 30 overs against No. 7 Silver Park.
The two batsmen put on 184 for the 2nd wicket which was very timely as no other batsman made more than 8. Similarly when Silver Park replied, their opening batsman Seenauth Motielall slammed 74 (6 fours) but with no other batsman getting beyond 9, three making nought as they were sent packing for 126 in 20.3 overs.
