As preparations commence for T&T trip next month
The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) announced yesterday that the encampment of Guyana Under-17 cricket team
and stand-byes will begin tomorrow at the Chetram Singh Centre of Excellence at LBI on the East Coast of Demerara.
Cricket Operations member of the GCB Robin Singh informed that the attendees are expected to assemble at LBI at 15:00hrs tomorrow along with the Manager Alvin Johnson and Coach Garvin Nedd who will oversee preparations.
The Guyana team is preparing for their tour to Trinidad next month and the team will be captained by National and Berbice under-19 left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie Kanhai.
Left-hander Taignarine ‘Brandon’ Chanderpaul, the son of West Indies Test left-hander Shivnarine Chanderpaul is also among those selected. Chanderpaul was Guyana’s leading batsman in this year’s Regional under-15 tournament.
