Guysuco Training Centre/ Port Mourant GTC/PM won the Balram Shane Volleyball competition when they defeated Arch Rivals Port Mourant Jaguars 3-1.
Using all their speed, tricks, guile and power the GTCPM lads were able to entrap the Jaguars before destroying them 25-17, 22-25, 25-18 and 25-17 in the match which was played on Sunday on the Hard court at the Albion Community Centre to register a commanding win for the trophy which is being played for the first time.
The competition, which was organised by Businessman Deonarine Balram of the Balram Shane General Store, was played in memory of the Businessman’s father who was ardent Sports fan in the Albion, Port Mourant and Rose Hall Town area.
The winning GTC/PM team for their victory collected $10,000 while the Jaguars claimed $5,000.
