Two brothers from Tabatinga, Central Rupununi are currently nursing stab wounds about
their bodies after they were reportedly attacked by a bar owner and his staff. Reports reaching this newspaper stated that around 20:30 hours on Sunday last Oral and Linden Franklyn were attacked.
The two men had gone to the bar to purchase ‘cutters’. After paying their money the men went outside to their car, while awaiting their ‘cutters’.
A while later Oral Franklyn went back into the restaurant to check on his order. However while doing so the man was reportedly told that their order was not available and they would be refunded. This publication was told that Franklyn ended up in an argument with a staffer during which he was attacked with a knife.
The young man ran out of the bar while his brother ran to his assistance.
A minute later both men were stabbed about their bodies. Public spirited persons then assisted the men to the hospital where they were treated and subsequently admitted. There are reports that both men have since been discharged from the hospital while the bar proprietor, his wife and a staff have been detained by the police to assist with investigations.
