The authorities at the Anjue and Hamlet Park racing club situated at Branch Road Mahaicony has decided to call off the planned one day horserace Meet which was set for Sunday November 27 due to several unforeseen circumstances.
Also the event is too close to the National Elections which is set for the next day, resulting in the authorities putting the meet on hold until sometime after the elections or early in the New Year.
According to Chief Organiser Amernauth Kirtipaul the club is making every effort to have a new date confirmed as early as possible and put all systems in place in order to have the event run incident free. Close to $4M in prizes money and other incentives were up for grabs in the eight race Meet. The track has not staged a race Meet for some time and reports out of Mahaicony are that a lot of improvement has being done to the facility.
Ramesh Sunich of The Trophy Stall, Bourda Market has already donated the trophies for the top performers. Persons with queries can contact Mr. Amernauth Kirtipaul on Telephone numbers 623-1009 or 624-9104 or at the Arjune and Hamlet race track at Mahaicony Branch Road.
