The Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation (GAPF) in its bid to maintain dominance at the Caribbean and regional levels, released the names of its team that will be representing the Golden Arrowhead at the 6th Annual IPF/NAPF/Caribbean Powerlifting championships scheduled for St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands next March.
Headlining the powerful Guyana team is Female Commonwealth record holder Dawn Barker who will be aiming to put away the opposition yet again.
Also included in the team are junior standouts Vijay Rahim and Anis Ade-Thomas; Colin ‘Mr. Clean’ Chesney, Karel Mars and Masters Phenomenon, Winston Stoby. Making a return to this level is the other female team member, Kimberly Mars.

Meanwhile, reigning Guyana and Caribbean overall Champion Randolph ‘The Accomplisher’ Morgan is set to compete at the prestigious 2012 Arnold Festival in Columbus, Ohio against World rated lifters as he begins his preparations for the long and challenging 2012, which will see him along with Caribbean and North American female heavyweight champion Dawn Barker competing at the South American Championships in Cali, Colombia in July and the World Open in Aguadilla Puerto Rico in November.
