Guyana Beach Soccer Association is being represented at the Tobago Beach Soccer Festival

The 12-member local contingent received financial assistance from local beverage giant Banks DIH for the trip to Tobago.
Banks DIH Outdoor Events manager Mortimer Stewart made the presentation of a cheque to Garth Nelson, President of the local Beach Soccer Association Wednesday in front of the new Citizens Bank location at Republic Avenue in Linden in the presence of players and officials.
Nelson thanked Banks DIH for providing financial support to the team stating that the assistance was timely.
He said it was the first time Guyana will be represented at the annual tournament which takes place on Saturday and Sunday in Tobago. According to Nelson the eight players were selected following a tournament held recently at the Christianburg beach soccer field in the mining town.
Stewart encouraged the players to make Guyana proud.
Nelson expressed appreciation to Banks DIH and stated that the assistance was timely.
The players are Jermaine Grandison, Ralston Fraser, Alistair Johnson, Oswald Benjamin, Ryan Crandon, Marlon Benjamin, Keon Sears and Haron Forrester.
The coach is Philip Gibbons and the Manager is Rollin Tappin. Nelson is also part of the delegation.
