Letter to the Sports Editor…Congrats are in order for the GFF President Ag. and ‘Golden Jags’

Dear Editor,
I would be very grateful if you can allow me and the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club the opportunity to extend congratulations to our dear friend, Franklin Wilson, on his outstanding work as acting President of the Guyana Football Federation. Mr. Wilson took over the stewardship of Guyana’s Football at a crucial juncture and has not only saved it but has guided it to another level.
As Secretary/CEO of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, I have developed a close friendship with Mr. Wilson in his capacity as a Sports Journalist and I have always respected him for his professionalism and work ethics. He is a man to his words, honest, discipline, dedicated and most importantly his love of the game and his motivation behind his drive to success.
His association with the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club has without doubt rubbed off in a positive way as he has seen first hand that success can be achieved with hard work, honesty and a passion to make a difference.
We would like to encourage him to transform the Guyana Football Federation into a successful NGO as the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club and the Berbice Cricket Board has done and to become an agent of change in the lives of youths, the elderly and less fortunate.
Congrats are also extended to the Golden Jaguars Team and management on their achievements of advancing to the next round of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. You guys have done our country proud and the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club salutes each one of you.
On my personal behalf and on my family especially my wife and daughter, I would like to congratulate my friend Frankie on a job well done and I am confident that under his leadership in the future Guyana’s football will continue to go places.
One of the proudest moment of my life as a Sports Administrator was to share the stage in March 2010 to receive a National Sports Awards with Frankie as he is one of my best friends, mentor and adviser. Keep the good work up and may God continue to guide and inspire you and the Guyana Football Federation in the future.
