Ann Persid Edmond (a/k Joy) , formerly of Number 30 Village, West Coast Berbice, and her dance partner Clint Spencer, were adjudged the best pair of dancers in the Ballroom competition held at the Sir Garfield Sobers Stadium, Barbados on October 29, last.
They were representing the Terpsichorean Dance School – Antigua, a branch of the local Terpsichorean Dance School.
Commenting on the win, the couple said that their win came in the Caribbean Ballroom Dance Competition. This time they were representing Antigua.
They performed three dances—the waltz, the foxtrot and the quick step—along with six other competitors from Antigua, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago.
In 2009, the competition was held in Antigua. There was none last year but this year the competition moved to Barbados.
Next year it would be held in Trinidad.
