Some overseas-based Guyanese and former students of Queen’s College yesterday
donated items worth US$30,000 to the school.
This will benefit the school library and in turn assist present and future students in their quest for academic excellence.
Eight laptops along with a projector, two printers and an entire server connection, were gifted to the school through a donation programme set up by old students in Toronto. Alfred Granger, the president and project Coordinator for the “International Chapters” said `that they have been receiving invaluable assistance from former students that will benefit the school tremendously.
The headmistress expressed sincere gratitude for the items and promised that the school will continue to use them for constructive and beneficial academic activities.
