In keeping with its social responsibility Western Union Money Transfer (Guyana ) has donated a quantity of Water Dispensers to the Mackenzie Police Station, Linden.
The donation which is valued at more than $100,000 was a collaborative effort between Western Union and one of its major payout agents in Linden – S&J Supermarket.
Speaking on behalf of Western Union at the presentation ceremony held at the police station recently, Marketing Manager, Mrs. Natheeah King-Mendonca said that the people of Linden are very supportive of Western Union and

as such, the company sees it fit to render assistance in whatever way it could when called upon.
Mrs. King-Mendonca encouraged the gathering to continue supporting Western Union and Bill Express Services.
Western Union agent in the area, Ivor Leacock, said that he prompted the donation after seeing the need for Water Dispensers at the stations in Linden.
Expressing gratitude for the dispensers, Assistant Superintendent Michael Sutton said that the ranks are very grateful for this kind of assistance and that the dispensers will be used for their intended purpose.
He added that they will be shared with the other Outposts across Region Ten.
Earlier this year Western Union donated an Industrial Gas Stove to the Praise Tabernacle Assembly Feeding Programme for the pupils of Watooka Primary School, Linden.
