Two still at large for raping 12-yr-old

Two of the three men who raped a 12-year-old girl from the Pomeroon have not been apprehended to date by the police. However, the third man has since committed suicide. He killed himself on Diwali Day at his Karawab residence.
According to reports, the 20-year-old man of Amerindian descent was found by his father-in -law hanging in an unfinished house at Karawab.
Reports are that the man and others raped a 12-year-old girl earlier this year.
The victim later reported the incident to the police, and was examined by a doctor. In the end the doctor issued a medical report to the police who then secured a description of the suspects.
A subsequent arrest warrant for the suspects led to the arrest of the 20-year-old who later committed suicide.
Residents said the 20-year-old had bitten off three of his paramour’s fingers, before he took his life.
The 12-year-old was reportedly abducted by the three men and taken to a house where she was kept for two days.
