The day of Interaction took place last Sunday at the Anna Regina Community Centre Ground, despite the threatening inclement weather.
Organised by the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Culture, the event saw teams from across Region Two taking part in varied sporting activities, which included Volleyball, Circle tennis, Softball cricket and football.
Director of Sports, Neil Kumar was present and encouraged the participating teams. Kumar said the event in the future would have to be planned, when the weather is much more fairer and promised that all participating teams would be given sports gear at the end of the competition.
The event saw the participation of sixteen male and female teams which took part in football, Circle Tennis, Softball Cricket and Volleyball.
Capoey won the cricket finals against Mainstay in the female category, while Mainstay got the better of Charity in the male category in the male category.
In football, Henrietta won 1-0 over Charity, meanwhile in circle Tennis, Mainstay won over Charity in the finals, while in volleyball, Mainstay trashed Charity by 15-8 points.
Trophies and sports equipment were later handed over to all the participating teams by Regional Chairman, Ali Baksh as was promised by Director of sports Neil Kumar.
