A. Ally and Sons honours top junior cyclists for making Guyana proud
Leading Berbice business enterprise A. Ally and Sons, with chain of stores in the county, has all reasons to be proud since they have been sponsoring national Junior Champion Cyclist Neil Reece he has been churning out a name for himself in the cycling field making the company proud.
His latest feat was successfully captaining the Guyanese cycling contingent to the recently concluded Inter Guiana games which was held in the Neighbouring Republic of Suriname. The Guyanese contingent was able to demolish their opponents to regaining the championship they lost some years ago.

The Company on Monday in a show of appreciation presented the up and coming cyclist with a monetary donation for his outstanding performance and to help him continue his training for the upcoming National school Cycling championship.
Reece, who has been riding for the past seven years, has been sponsored by the company for the past four years. It was his second year at the Games.
The Guyanese cyclists, both male and female, made a clean sweep in the cycling competition at the games, winning both the males and females Times Trials and Road races. The Guyanese were represented by four males and two females. They were so dominant that the male cyclists of Raynauth Jeffery, Reece, Paul De Noriega and Micheal Anthony finished in the top four spots in that order, while the two females Naiomi Singh and Berbician Marica Dick finished first and second in their race. Reece for his part placed first in the time trial and second in the road race.
Chief Executive Officer of the A. Ally and Sons business entity Faizal Ally in making the presentation to Reece expressed his and the company pleasure in sponsoring him. He told the young cyclist that discipline and hard work must always be his guide, stating that, “…as long as you have those characteristics you will definitely succeed. As long as you stay on top of your game the company will always be willing to be on your side.”
Reece in his response was thankful to the principals of A. Ally and sons for putting their faith, trust and reputation on his shoulder and promised to uphold the high ideals set by the company in his endeavors. He was also high in praise for his coach Randolph Roberts for all the time spent guiding him through his paces. He also stated that he would try to be a role model for others to follow. He also thanked all the other sponsors singling out Attorney at law Mursuline Bacchus and Businessman Errol Alphonso for their financial and moral support for the team.
