Michael Shalim will Captain Demerara in the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Under-17 four-team competition which is scheduled to commence on Friday. Demerara will play its first match against the President’s XI at Wales on Friday, while Berbice battle Essequibo at Wakanaam in the other match on Friday.
After a break for the Regional Super50 final at Providence on Saturday, the under-17 action resumes on Monday with Berbice facing the President’s X1 at Bourda and Essequibo opposing Demerara at DCC.
The 14 man squad released is: The Demerara team read: Michael Shalim- (Captain), Arvin Seepersaud-(Vice-Captain), Tagnarine Chanderpaul, Martino Bell, Shivram Persaud, Andrew Gibson, Parvinderlall Persaud, Akashaya Persaud, Shivindra Hemraj, Steven Sankar, Kamal Savory, Bernard Bailey, Dexter George, David Mohamed, Dhanpaul (Manager), Gavin Nedd (Coach).
Standbys: Sunil Singh, Kevin Imlack, Ryan Shuol, Ryan Chichester, Cornelius Dhanshire, Randy Yankana, Vikash Rampersaud, Kevin Paul, Wazir Alli.
