The second Players Golf Championship sponsored by Citizens Bank will tee off today, at the Lusignan Golf Club, starting at 09:00 hours.
Close to 40 foreign and local players will battle for top honours in the much anticipated tournament coming fresh off the heels on the Guyana Open last weekend.
Defending champion Mohanlall “Santo” Dinanauth will be looking to secure a second lien on the championship trophy following his second place finish at the Guyana Open.
Also expected to be in contention are United States player Andrew Claxton, Citizens Bank Chairman Clifford Reis, Patrick Prashad, Vijay Deo, Avinash Persaud, Avinda Kishore, William Walker, Christine Sukhram, Joaan Deo, Maurice Solomon, Colin Ming, Robert Hanoman, Ian Gouveia, Esau Shamshudin, Bhowlaram Deo, Brian Hackett, Mike Mangal, Mike Gayadin, Troy Cadogan, Mark Lashley, John Tracey, Dr. John Ram Singh, Gavin Todd, Jerome Khan, Fazil Haniff, Muntaz Haniff and Chatterpaul Deo.
Citizens Bank Managing Director Eton Chester and other senior managers of the Bank will be on hand to assist in the distribution of prizes.
