Dear Editor,
As most of you would have read in the newspapers Saturday, October 22, 2011 in the article “Prime Minister heads list of National Awardees”, BK International’s Brian Tiwari has been awarded a Golden Arrow of Achievement.
It is astonishing to see our country’s leaders are embracing our hardworking citizens of this great land of ours! Later President Jagdeo said, that he has “no problems with Guyanese excelling or accumulating wealth, once it is done honestly.”
Is Brian Tiwari an honest man? I want to respond to the story in Kaieteur News on October 13, 2011, “Puran Bros. sues BK International for $10M over new landfill site” and would say without hesitation that this is just preposterous at the fullest degree.
Before I proceed with a bunch of lost readers let me take the time to refresh your memory. It has been signed and confirmed between Puran Bros. and BK International involving the Haags Bosch Landfill Site Contract that both parties shall share in the running and management of the site on a 20%-80% ratio respectively. Now, agreements were made and hands were shook, but unfortunately BK International under the rule of Brian Tiwari did not live up to its words and did so fearlessly.
BK International assumed sole and exclusive control of the operations and management of the said Haags Bosch Sanitary Landfill and is solely receiving all the monies disbursed under the said contract.
However, Puran Bros. on several occasional have made numerous attempts to contact Brian Tiwari but was left with failure. Now tell me is this an honest man; a man who has been awarded a Golden Arrow of Achievement? I think that award is questionable.
One would speculate that this is not right. I know our country has not gone so bad that we lack the ability to identify an honest man. Brian Tiwari, you are definitely not one of them.
