In an effort to inject life into the comatose state of football in Georgetown, beverage giants Banks DIH recently pledged its support to the Georgetown Football Association (GFA). The Company has undertaken to sponsor the Super League Tournament which will contested among the seventeen clubs affiliated to the GFA and which is scheduled to commence on Sunday with a double header, at the GFC ground.
According to a source close to the Body, all the clubs are being notified to ready themselves and start preparations so that football fans could see the resumption of activities within Georgetown organised under the auspices of the Association. More details of the League will be disclosed at a Press Briefing scheduled for Thursday at Banks DIH.
