BV Triumph United recorded the largest margin of victory when latest play in the 2011 Mackeson Super League organized by the East Demerara Football Association continued this past weekend at the Buxton Community Centre Ground.
BV rocked their way to a 7-0 win over Ann’s Grove, while also recoding comfortable wins were Victoria Kings over Plaisance 4-0; Buxton United hammered Mahaica 5-0 and Bakewell Buxton Stars eased past Golden Stars 2-0.
Conspiring to lead BV to their big win were Kenneth Beveney (2, 22); Shawn Daniels (5, 39) and Jumane Summerset (21, 28) with a double each with the other coming off the boot of Malcolm Wilson in the 68th minute.
Veteran Winston Pompey netted twice in Victoria King’s triumph over Plaisance. Pompey was on target in the 41st and 53rd minutes, Aubrey Gibson converting in the 51st, while the opening goal came off the boot of Rolston Morrison in the 11th minute.
Buxton United took full points from Mahaica on account a brace each from Jamal Booker (15, 46) and Michael Phyll (63, 64). Ralph Moffatt tucked in the other in the 50th minute. Bakewell Buxton Stars with two second half goals turned back the challenge of Golden Stars. Goals came from Alistair Deane one minute into the second half and Sion Thomas who rocked the nets with three minutes remaining to full time.
More action is set for the Buxton Community Centre Ground this Saturday and Sunday.
