Twenty one-year-old, Nadia Satrohan, who has been missing for over two weeks, is now feared kidnapped.
According to her father, Laury Vieira, he received a phone call yesterday around 14:00hrs informing him that his daughter was seen being forced into a white 212 Toyota car at the Georgetown Seawall, on October 4.
Vieira said that it is almost a month now since he last spoke to his daughter. He would have spoken to her days before her birthday on September 10. He claimed that none of the woman’s relatives has heard from her, neither has the girl’s friends.
Satrohan, who is said to be residing at 528 Tuschen, West Coast Demerara, according to neighbours, was last seen leaving her home with a parcel in her hand.
According to the father, the neighbours say she has not returned.
Vieira said that it is very unlike his daughter to stay away for such a long time without contacting the family.
He said that Nadia was previously involved in a rocky relationship with a young man whom he believes may have an idea of his daughter’s whereabouts.
Vieira emphasised that when he went to visit Satrohan’s former friend he was informed that the man had moved out of the apartment almost three weeks ago. That would be one week prior to when Satrohan went missing.
The man said that he has made contact with the police and other media houses in an act of desperation to find his daughter.
The distraught father is asking anyone knowing the whereabouts of the girl to contact the nearest police station. Vieira is asking that if the girl is safe that she make contact with the family or someone having any information to contact the family and make the burden of worrying less painful.
The man’s contact numbers are 220-3099, 683-1862 and 336-6295.
