Defending Champions All Saints Primary once again came out on top when the New Amsterdam Branch held their annual Inter Primary School Athletics Championship at the All Saints Scott Church Ground on Thursday.
All Saints Primary ended with 360 points with St Therese Primary 312 second, ST Aloysius Primary 303 third, Edinburgh Primary 136 fourth, Overwinning Primary 131 fifth, School of the Nation’s 120 sixth, in seventh position was Friends Primary, eight New Amsterdam Primary with Lochaber /Sandvort Primary ending in the cellar with 22 points.
The top athletes were among the boys Joshua Butts of St Aloysius Primary running in the U12 category with 30 points, while Brianna Trotman of Overwinning Primary also running in the U12 category was the top female on show.
The Inter Branch Competition which will effectively be used to select the District teams to participate in the National School Athletics, Swimming and Cycling Championships is expected to be held on Wednesday at the All Saints Scott Church ground.
