The Tenelec Inc First Division 50-Overs Cricket Competition continued last Sunday with three eight round matches and Ralph Ogle, who had earlier in the competition fell for 95, slammed 59 and former Berbice wicketkeeper Qwesi Mentore hit 51 to help West Berbice beat Port Mourant Karibee Rice (PMKR) by 42 runs.
PMKR’s off-spinner Boujhnarine Persaud took 4-35, his second consecutive 4-wicket haul in two days as West Berbcie made 194 but his team fell for 150 in reply as 2010 national U-19 pacer Raun Johnson took 5-13.
Left arm spinner Mark Lionel took 5-16 to see Police bowled out for 114 by Skeldon Community Centre who were then dismissed for 102 as 14-year-old Leon Andrews and Rocky Hutson taking 3-10 and 3-23 respectively.
Memorex Bermine bounced back from their loss to Albion on Saturday to register an easy 6-wickets win against host Blairmont.

At Bush Lot in West Berbice, West Berbice beat Port Mourant Karibee Rice by 42 runs. In the match was reduced to 45 overs due to rain, West Berbice made 194 all out in 41 Overs with Ralph Ogle 59 and Qwesi Mentore 51. Boujhnarine Persaud took 4-35, pacer Yudendra Harrinarine 2-33 and former Essequibo left arm spinner Robert Moore 2-43.
Port Mourant Karibee Rice made 152 in 38 Overs with Shastri Persaud hitting 33, Moore 29 and Mahendra Veerasammy 27. Raun Johnson took 5-13 and medium pacer Keith Fraser 2-32.
At Skeldon, Police beat Skeldon by 12 runs in a match reduced to 30 Overs due to rain. Police made 114 all out in 27.4 Overs with Andel Doris making 36 as Mark Lionel took 5-16 and Clavern Beresford 2-14. Skeldon fell for 102 in 23.3 Overs with Richard Narine scoring 24. Leon Andrews took 3-10, Rocky Hutson 3-23 and Kellon Henry 2-32
At Blairmont, Memorex Bermine beat Blairmont by 6 wickets in a rain affected 44 Overs-a-side game. Blairmont made 117 all out in 42.1 Overs with Shabeer Baksh hitting 37 and Omesh Mangal 21 as former Berbice Under-19 cricketer Julian Moore took 2-17, Guyana Under-19 all-rounder, Joemal La Fleur 2-22 and Berbice cricketer Devon Clements 2-22.
Memorex Bermine replied with 118-4 in 24 Overs with Keion De Jesus 36 and Clements 35 leading the way. Pacer Deveshwari Prashad took 3-33 for the host
