Kaieteur Newspapers wishes to apologize to Mr. Robert Bristol of 67 Robb Street,
Lacytown, Georgetown; for the contents of the articles titled ‘Father refused to allow relatives to view teen’s body’ and ‘Dead Bristols leave suspicious in their wake’
published on 25th September, 2011 and 28th September, 2011 respectively.
They appeared to convey the impression that Mr. Bristol was involved in the deaths of his wife Learia Bristol and daughter Shakese Bristol for, inter alia, insurance benefits. Kaieteur Newspapers accepts that the assertion and implications made in the articles in relation to Mr. Robert Bristol are false.
Kaieteur Newspapers has no credible information that Mr. Bristol was involved in any way whatsoever in the demise of his wife and daughter.
We regret sincerely the hardship and embarrassment the articles caused to Mr. Bristol.
