The main opposition People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) is mourning the passing of former Region Two Councilor, Marva Bowen.
Bowen died at Davis Memorial Hospital on Monday after a period of illness.
Her stewardship in the PNC began in the then Young Socialist Movement (YSM), wherein, she distinguished herself as an outstanding cadre with a powerful influence on her peers, the party said.
She served the Party in various capacities during the 1970’s and was an outstanding advocate in the many causes of people development. She was also a Lay Pastor of the Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Chinelle, and several other siblings.
The viewing of the body will take place at her residence, Bush Lot, Essequibo Coast next, to be followed by a funeral service and burial thereafter.
The Leader of the People’s National Congress Reform, Members of the Central Executive Committee and the General Membership of the Party have expressed deepest condolences to the daughter and extended family and friends of the late Ms. Marva Bowen.
