Hire car driver Sultan Mohamed is wondering who will compensate him after this billboard with a portrait of PPPC Presidential candidate Donald Ramotar came crashing down on his car near Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara around 11:30 hrs yesterday.
Mohamed, who resides a short distance from the collapsed billboard, said that he had parked his vehicle near the Demerara Bank Limited and was in his home when a neighbour informed him that ‘something’ had fallen on his car.
Mohamed said that his front windscreen was shattered and at least one headlamp was broken.
From all indication, the pole on which the billboard was erected snapped during a brief downpour that was accompanied by heavy winds.
The driver told Kaieteur News that he contacted Freedom House about the incident and someone told him that they would return the call.
When Kaieteur News left the scene Mohamed was still waiting for the call.
