The Patron, President and members of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club (RGTY&SC) have extended congratulations to Assad Fudadin on his appointment as Captain of the Guyana One-Day Cricket team for the upcoming WICB Tournament.
Fudadin, who is the captain his club’s division-one team – RHT Gizmos & Gadgets – has been a member of the Club since 1996 when he joined at the tender age of 11.
According to a release from the club: “Over the years, Fudadin has made us proud by representing Guyana at the Under-15, 19 and Senior levels and the West Indies at the Under-15, 19 and ‘A’ class levels.
Assad has also been very successful for his County and over the last three years has led the them to Twenty20, One-Day and Four-Day Inter County titles. In fact has never lost a Guyana Cricket Board tournament as captain.
At the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club level, he has led by dedication, discipline and visionary leadership since his appointment this year to replace the long serving Esuan Crandon. All of our cricketers, both male and female respect Fudadin and view him as a positive role model and are excited by his appointment.”
The Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club is confident that under his dynamic leadership and personal performance, the Guyana team would become the champions of 50 overs cricket in the West Indies.
“We would also like to encourage Assad to remain grounded and to remember at all times the principles he has learnt at the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club – that success comes through hard work, honesty, discipline, commitment and faith in the God you serve. The Club would also like to wish the rest of the Guyana team a successful campaign especially our own Royston Crandon.”
Congrats are also extended to Club member Clinton Pestano on his election as a standby player on the team.
The club is encouraging all Guyanese cricket fans to come out in their numbers to support the Assad Fudadin led Guyana team and is also urging Corporate Guyana to support the team financially.
