National athlete, Arinze Chance is back on the track once again, after displaying his strength at The Bishops’ High School Inter-House Athletics Championship yesterday at the GCC Ground Bourda.
The championship saw Chance out-sprinting his rival Phillip Persaud, who was the former champion athlete in the U-16 sprint categories; he opened a gap on his opponents as Bolt usually do in his sprint races to register 10.84 seconds in the 100m ahead of Persaud and Andre Atherley. He {Chance} later returned to control the 200m and 400m.
Allen’s house, Darian Best won both 100m and 200m U-18 sprint races as his counterpart Andre Atherly was second in the former and Leshaun Jeffrey second in the latter.
Kheon Evans subjugated the open category of the sports in the 200,400 and 800m. Paul Tyrell was second in the 200m ahead of Brandon De Santos; Akeem Greene was rewarded second after a close finish with Evans in the 400m ahead of De Santos, third.
Dewar House won the March Pass; Vyphuis house took top honors in the Physical Display.
Wearn House prevailed to be the overall champions this year amassing 303 points ahead of Baskett’s 295 and Vyfhuis’272.
Meanwhile, Chance in an invited comment informed Kaieteur Sport that he will be smashing records at this year’s National Schools Championships slated for November, “I am training hard and planning to break the three sprint records at Nationals this year”, he said.
