The Berbice Cricket Board’s Public Relations Department on Thursday last recognised the contributions of four Berbice Television Journalists who over the last four years have played great roles in informing Berbicians of the work that have been done by the BCB.
Over the last four years, the Keith Foster led Administration has operated an open and transparent organisation. Under this policy, the BCB convenes monthly press conferences to update Berbicians on the various tournaments, selection of teams, financial statements, launching of tournaments, presentations to players and administrators and NGOs and to answer questions from the press or members of the public.
The Journalists honoured were Gregory and Andrew Rambarran of DTV-8, Malisa Playter and Sherwin Hall of LRTVS CH-10.
Chairman of the Berbice Cricket Board Special Events Committee, Hilbert Foster praised the Berbice based Journalists for the massive coverage they have been affording the Berbice Cricket Board during the year.
Every resident in the Ancient County is fully aware of the work and activities of the BCB. The Board enjoys the massive support from the general public and sponsors.
Foster urged the Journalists to maintain coverage of the Board and its activities while encouraging them to offer constructive criticism when necessary.
Veteran News Editor Gregory Rambarran of DTV-8 expressed gratitude to the BCB for recognising their services and said that it was easy to work along with the Executives of the Board as they are always available to provide information.
