Dear Editor,
The WICB recently released through its Corporate Communication Manager that they endorse or recognized the Ramsey Ali Group as the elected GCB.
I wish to ask Dr. Julian Hunte President of the WICB, what yardstick was used by his Board of Directors to arrive at such a conclusion when the WICB -:
1. Never observed the election process at any time before during or after.
2. Never held a fact-finding all- inclusive investigation with all stakeholders in attendance, and particularly since the entire process was tainted, seemed oblivious to the following:
1. The Election was carried out within an environment of much antagonism with a multiplicity of legal issues.
2. Only 10 delegates participated instead of twenty-seven (27).
3. One Board participated instead of three (3)
4. The press was deliberately omitted from the gathering in favour of a private videographer
5. Seven of the 13 Members of the Board’s Executive were ostracized from all administrative functions including the setting of the elections, so that the Ministry group could dictate.
6. The above is unconstitutional and thereby illegal and requires at least some proper investigation instead of an endorsement.
Please Dr. Hunte let us know how you arrived at your conclusion, since honesty, fairness and transparency must be the hallmark of any Election Process.
