-is there a mystery behind Shakese Bristol’s death?
Fuming relatives of Shakese Bristol are eager in finding out the “mystery” surrounding the death of the teen and the reasons why the father, Robert Bristol, was not allowing the family to view the body.
Family members surrounded the coffin and blocked the door at the Merriman Funeral Parlour, since, according to a relative; there were instructions from the teen’s father, who was waiting at the Providence Burial Ground at the time that the coffin should not be opened.
An attempt was also made by one of Robert Bristol’s relatives to “chase” a reporter but other relatives were shouting “they have to stay, we want justice.”
In the end the relatives opened the coffin.
Fourteen year old Shakese, who died on Sunday, was a student of the David Rose School for the Handicap and proved to be one of the most loving and discipline students; she was born with a physical condition of disorder which hindered her ability to walk.
She was therefore confined to a wheelchair.
This newspaper understands that the teen’s death caused much grief and affection.
Shakese had life insurance and persons only take care of her for money.
It is also understood that family members were not informed when the teen was in the hospital.
Many relatives stated that they believed the teen’s death was “deliberately planned” to access the life insurance claims.
The teen’s mother, Leriea Bristol was executed at the back of North Ruimveldt. She too had life insurance. Relatives are now even confused as to whether there was a link between the Mother and her daughter’s deaths.
