Beheaded corpse…Shaven head found on Tuschen seawall road
Some two weeks ago, a Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo family buried one of their own, but hours later made a startling discovery as person(s) had broken the tomb and beheaded the corpse, which was confirmed to be the remains of 24-year-old Rickie Ramkarram.
Yesterday the dead man’s sister Radica Ramkarran contacted this publication and revealed that her brother’s head was found on the roadway leading to the Tuschen seawall, around 15:00 hours on Wednesday, and the police were called in.
The woman related that the head was “fresh” – which they assumed meant that it was being kept in ice or some other form of cold storage – and cleanly shaven.

Ramkarran opined that her brother’s head was deliberately placed where it was discovered.
“People living in the area say it was there in the morning and if the people who do it wanted to hide it they woulda throw it far away, not on the road.”
Meanwhile, residents in the area as well as the man’s relatives said they hope a thorough investigation is carried out into the matter since they have reported all their suspicions to the police.
On September 9, last, when relatives went to the Tuschen burial ground to carry out finishing touches on the tomb where Rickie Ramkarran had been laid to rest, they discovered that the structure had been broken into. Further checks revealed that the corpse was without a head. The matter was immediately reported to the police.
Ramkarran, who was buried a day prior, had died after ingesting a poisonous substance.
