In announcing the sponsorship, Suzette Shim-Prittipaul, Product Specialist of the Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Department of Geddes Grant said that Garnier and Geddes Grant Ltd. were pleased to be associated with the Guyana Fashion Weekend for a second time in five years.
Geddes Grant Ltd. is the local distributor of Garnier line of products (a member of the world leader in cosmetics, L’OREAL).
“Guyana Fashion Weekend has over the years created an avenue for young and seasoned designers and models to showcase their talents on the runway. Garnier has always been cognizant of this fact and is once again delighted to be part of this event,” Shim-Prittipaul noted.
She disclosed that “Garnier’s highly effective, innovative beauty products have always been inspired by nature and wherever possible, active natural ingredients are used. One such example of our natural products is the Garnier Pure Clean. This shampoo and conditioner is 92% biodegradable i.e. it dissolves easily in the environment without destroying nature and leaves your hair shinny and lightweight without any residue”.
Shim-Prittipaul concluded: “We have found Guyana Fashion Weekend 5 as the ideal platform to showcase our commitment to the wellbeing of men and women through our excellent range of Personal and Beauty Care Products.”
Sonia Noel expressed gratitude to Garnier and Geddes Grant for sponsoring the GFW for a second time.
“I am very excited that Garnier and Geddes Grant are on board once again, this is a very fruitful partnership and we are extremely pleased with the high quality of Garnier hair products,” she added.
Noel said that GFW has made its mark in celebrating five years, while noting that only Jamaica’s version has surpassed that milestone.
