Sewerage pipes attract $250M bid

Government has moved to order a significant quantity of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes for a major project to rehabilitate the city’s sewerage system.
Yesterday, bids were also opened for the construction of the Linden Magistrate’s Court and for the procurement of medical supplies with the latter attracting proposals as high as $149M.
The supply of HDPE pipes attracted six (6) bidders, including one company from Trinidad and Tobago. The Engineer’s Estimate for this procurement is $261,138,150 with the bids opened being:

The Ministry of Legal Affairs is estimating works to cost $48,186,362 with the bids opened:
