A number of horses have entered for the Grand one-day Horserace meet set for today at the Bush Lot United Turf Club which will see a return to horseracing after a long layoff of over a decade at the venue.
Seven races are planned for the day with the ‘I’ class event being the highest category on the day’s meet as the organizers are using the occasion to test the system. No big money is on offer, but a number of horses have taken entry or the day’s meet.
The feature race is for ‘I’ and lower horses over five furlongs with the winner set to take home $50,000 and a trophy. The J class race like the others are all five furlongs event and the winner is set to take home $40,000 and a trophy. The Winner of the Class ‘K’ will get $30,000 and a trophy. While the champion in the Class ‘L’ event will collect $20,000 and a trophy.
There are two group races, one for Group one animals and the other for Group two horses with the winning money being the same and is set at $15,000 and trophies. The Handicap event will see the winner taking home $30,000and a trophy. A grand time is anticipated as the organizers have stated that the track is in excellent condition.
Among the animals entered for the day’s action are Flying Object, New Moon, Felicia, Pleasant Surprise, Black Tricks and O So Sharp, Motivator, McGyver, Mr. Cool, She is Royal, Cat Dancer, Natural Mystic, Cake Soap, Mischief, Royal Dancer and Red Flame, White Diamond, Mr. Biggs, Billy the Kid and Cash, Black Stallion, Grey Boy, White Mystic,
