Dear Editor,
The rains fell heavily even though briefly with clapping of thunder and flashing of lightning, the lightning was so bright that it lit up my dark bedroom during this bad weather, then there was another problem, leaks and more leaks, where there were no leaks before began to drip and then pour.
Looks like things were not bad enough we had to have leaks, the rain we needed, to moisten the soil and freshen the kitchen garden and our flower plants too, but whooh!
We are getting some leaks in our dear land, great wonder is why? Are these leaks set to tarnish prominent individuals in Guyana, do we not have enough to deal with, will the authorities be able to cope with this new sensation?
A part from this WikiLeaks or whatever spells BleakiLeaks for Guyana, we have to deal with so much corruption and confusion, we can do without some of these sensations.
But we are in the world of technology, and nothing can be hidden for long. Somehow confidential information gets out. How it does is anyone’s guess.
For me, it is most disturbing and disruptive and can sway minds here and there; it can also contribute to destabilization and stagnation, when citizens do not know what to believe.
Would an investigation be the right and proper course to take so as to clear the smear and remove the blame or expose the guilty? Something will give.
I don’t know what to believe and just like me there are thousands out there in the same predicament, somebody please help.
Ivan John
