Bids were yesterday opened by the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board for the Ministry of Housing and Water tender for the construction of drains, roads, structures and installation of a Water Distribution system Network at Plantation Providence, Phase II, East Bank Demerara.
The contract saw a total of 19 local contracting firms bidding for the projects which each carry eight lots. This project is part of the Ministry’s East Bank Demerara housing development projects.
According to the subject Minister, Irfaan Ali, these are all infrastructural works for a soon to be established housing scheme.
Engineer’s Estimates for the eight (8) lots: Lot 1 – $144,547,975; Lot 2 – $146,523,245; Lot 3 – $101,612,555; Lot 4 -$101,928,090; Lot 5 – $164,716,915; Lot 6 – $139,952,230; Lot 7 – $130, 411, 875; Lot 8 – $168,086,490
