Speaking with the Guyanese’s boxers for the Commonwealth Youth Games (CYG), which is slated for September 7-11 in Isle of Mann, Steve Ninvalle, President of Guyana’s Amateur Boxing Association (GABA) stressed on the need for discipline for the two athletes on the tour.

“I implored discipline to be a vital meal of the boxers on their tour. We have given our best preparation at this time for the games and we hope that they (boxers) will give us (Guyana) their best at the Commonwealth Youth Games,” Ninvalle said.
Both Benjamin Henry (bantamweight) and Marvin Ageday (lightweight) along with Coach, Sebert Blake will depart Guyana today for the games. Ninvalle stressed to the youngsters the importance of being good ambassadors for their country and selves and to good all out in their quest to secure championship honours.
According to the President, the two boxers selected to represent Guyana in the Isle of Mann are under the watchful eyes of six coaches as they are a part of Guyana’s Road to London team for the 2012 Olympics.
