Guyanese players Narayan & Priyanna Ramdhani made Guyana proud by bringing home 4 Silvers and 1 Bronze in the Under-13 and 15 Events at the Caribbean Badminton International Junior Championships held in Barbados from August 31 to September 03 at the Wildey Gymnasium.
In July Priyanna Ramdhani brought home the Bronze at The Pan American Junior Badminton Championships held in Jamaica. Although Priyanna Ramdhani played in a higher age group (Under-13) instead of the Under-11 which was cancelled due to lack of entries she was still skillful enough to take the Silver in the Under-13 Singles and Mixed Doubles.
Narayan Ramdhani on the other hand, won Silver in the Under-15 Doubles and Mixed Doubles and also won the Bronze in the Under-15 Singles which was his best performance.
Both players played well in the Tournament and they were noted for their continued improvement. The Presentation ceremony was held on Saturday after the Open Finals at the Wildey Gymnasium where the respective winners received their Medals. Countries that took part are: Guyana, Barbados, Puerto Rico, Curacao, Trinidad, Jamaica, & Suriname.
