Police are questioning a popular Lusignan, East Coast Demerara businessman, who turned himself in with his lawyer on Tuesday, a day after a wanted bulletin was issued for him.
The man Indarpaul Doodnauth called Teddy, is being questioned in connection with $300M cocaine in kunds bust at Haslington New Scheme, two weeks ago.
Three persons – a man his wife and his son – have been charged in connection with the bust.
Kaieteur News understands that Doodnauth, the owner of a taxi service on the East Coast of Demerara, is being represented by attorney at law Vic Puran, who is counsel for the three accused.
While Doodnauth remained in custody up to last night, there is so far no indication if any charges will be instituted against him.
