El Dorado Trading and Hopkinson Mining have joined forces with D&C Promotions for this weekend’s massive 8-team Twenty20 knock-out cricket tournament set for the Bartica Community Centre Ground.
CEO of El Dorado Trading, Saddiqi who handed over the cheque to representative of D&C Promotions Andrea Fredericks said that they have always been in the business of supporting the positive development of sport and more so in Bartica.
CEO of El Dorado Trading hands over the cheque to Ms. Andrea Fredericks of D&C Promotions in the presence of Mr. Yusuf Khan, Treasurer of the Rising Stars Cricket Club, one of the participating clubs.
“We are proud that such a tournament is being held in this community and we will always be of support since it showcases the talent of a number of players from the community coming up against some of the best teams in the country.”
Mr. Morris Hopkinson of Hopkinson Mining also stated his pleasure at being associated with the tournament and is looking forward to another successful and entertaining competition.
“We at Hopkinson Mining are looking forward to an explosive competition featuring some of the best players in the business. We look forward to good crowd support.”
This tournament is being run in association with the Bartica Cricket Committee and the Essequibo Cricket Board and will bowl off on Saturday from 18:00hrs.
