Condoms attract sizeable bids at Tender Board

Three bids were opened for the supply and delivery of male and female condoms under the Health Ministry’s Materials Management Unit (MMU), yesterday at National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB). The bids which were all submitted with CDs are:

Meanwhile, three bids were submitted for the construction of an access road to the Rice Seed Facility at Number 56 Village, Corentyne, Berbice.
In April 2010, Head of the Presidential Secretariat, Dr. Roger Luncheon, had announced that $174.4M was allotted for the construction of the Rice Seed facility. However, bids are now being received for development of the access road.
The engineer’s estimate for the Ministry of Agriculture project is $40,084,000. The bids submitted:

Another project for the Ministry of Agriculture for the supply, delivery and installation of laboratory equipment for the National Agriculture Research Institute (NARI) seed, germplasm, plant diagnosis and soil chemistry /microbiology laboratories received four (4) bids which are:

Still in the Agriculture sector three more bids were received for the supply, delivery, installation and testing of field equipment for the Guyana Livestock Development Authority (GLDA), Plant Health Unit (PHU), Ogle International Airport and the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) lots 1 and 2. The bids are as follows:

Three additional bids for the Ministry of Agriculture were also accepted for the Supply, delivery, installation and testing of laboratory equipment, reagent and chemical for National Agriculture Research and Extension Institute (NAREI) (biological control and tissue culture laboratories) and Government Analyst – Food and Drug Department. These bids were:

Meanwhile, residents of Diamond, East Bank Demerara will be benefitting from the construction of a Fire Station under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Sixteen bids were submitted at the NPTAB with an engineer’s estimate of $19,021,681. The bids are:

Under the Citizens Security Programme (CSP) of the Ministry of Home Affairs two price proposals were submitted for the Institutional Modernization of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) – Implementation of a Strategic plan. The price proposals were:

With an engineer’s estimate of $3,109,050 the tender board received and opened bids for the improvement of water and sanitation projects at the New Opportunity Corps, under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport. The bids were:

Three bids were also submitted for the procurement of stationery for the National Drainage and Irrigation Authority (NDIA) and the estimates which were divided into two lots were Lot (1) $2,183, 545 and Lot (2) $1, 066,200. The bids submitted are:

There were also two bids supplied for the procurement of two washrooms in the arrival area of the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA). The engineer’s estimate for the project is $4, 607,066. The bids submitted:
