Ian Bancroft won the best boxer accolade when a two-day amateur boxing tournament was held last weekend at the Andrew Sixhead Lewis Boxing Gym in Albouystown.
The tournament was sponsored by US-based promoter Seon Bristol, who flew into the country especially for the event. This was another part of Bristol’s contributions to amateur boxing. Bristol, a former amateur fighter turned promoter, has been making contributions to the sport he loves. He recently sponsored Steffon Gouveia as the young fighter sets his sights on an Olympic medal next year.
