Imran ‘Magic’ Khan stands ready to realize his dreams. Top of the list is an Olympic medal next year in London. However, the talented and very determined youngster has many hurdles to cross before that time.
First on the list is his opponent tonight, Richard Williamson, who he engages tonight at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall in the Friday Night Fights monthly programme.
Khan, while he has his eyes on the big picture he is focused and have been preparing for tonight and fans to this evening’s card can expect a show from the talented youngster.
Khan in a recent interview with Kaieteur Sport said, “I am confident of winning but I will not get complacent.” He said that he has learnt a lot from the Venezuelan sojourn at the ALBA Games and is anxious to exhibit his newly acquired knowledge.
“I have learnt the importance of the jab and am now using that punch a lot.” Of his main dream Khan Said, “I am focused and ready and right now my eyes are fixed on winning an Olympic gold medal next year.”
With 77 wins from 90 bouts any right minded person will want to bet on the slimly built youngster. He has vowed to add the scalp of Williamson to his bulging bag of accomplishments. “It matters not who the boxer is, I intend to remove anyone in my way that is blocking my progress,” he promised. Fireworks maybe the order of things tonight.
