Kares Engineering / Bushy Park Sawmills 10/10 Tapeball Cricket Competition
-Shaggy coming to perform after finals
The Organisers of the Kares Engineering / Bushy Park Sawmills 10/10 Nationwide Tapeball Cricket Competition in an effort to showcase the talent of participating players all across the country have organised matches in the Super Sixteen playoffs at venues in four regions, starting today.
Over at Walton Hall, Essequibo, East Bank zone champions Dyna’s Bravados go up against Rising Star XI and that will be followed by the clash between Cotton Field Wild Oats versus Progressive and the Essequibo Islands winner vs. Brushie XI in the Male Open category.
In the School Boys Division- IPE All Stars take on the Essequibo Islands winner, L’Aventure Secondary School battle Charity Secondary and Johanna Cecilia Sec battle St. Rose’s High School.
Over at the Ministry of Education ground on Carifesta Avenue, the Pitbulls entertain Better Hope XI and Invaders XI clash with Ocean XI in the male Open category, while in the School Boys Division, Camille’s Institute go up against Shivita Business College.
The girls division will see Shivita’s Business College and Chateau Margot Primary square off, while in the Women’s category, Trophy Stall battles Golden Girls, Gas XI takes on Mahaica Queens, 4R Lionesses oppose Mahaica Creek Princesses and Rising Stars XI clash with Enterprise Young Achievers.
At the Port Mourant ground in Berbice, the Corentyne zone winner clash with Unity / Lancaster in the Male Open division, while in the School Boys category, New Amsterdam Technical Institute collide with Abramscreek Sec. and Skeldon Line Path Sec. and J.C Chandisingh Sec. square off.
In the Girls Division, Corentyne Comprehensive takes on Agri Warriors and San Souci Primary battles Vryman’s Erven Sec.
Meanwhile, the Organisers have disclosed that tickets for the mega concert which will follow the finals to be played on September 4, at the National Stadium begun selling on Friday at most of the popular outlets.
They are advising that patrons needing to buy tickets could check the daily papers for more information as early as possible.
Among the artistes expected to perform at the occasion are Grammy winner Shaggy, Riki Jai, Peter Ram, Mahendra Ramkellowan and a host of other local entertainers.
