Courts Pacesetters and Bobby’s Afterschool Basketball Programme were
yesterday the recipients of a quantity of new National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) quality basketballs, which were officially handed over to coach, Robert ‘Bobby’ Cadogan.
Washington-based, Winston Barker donated the balls that renowned sports enthusiast, Dr. Colin Colin Watson handed over yesterday. Watson, who is also based in Washington DC, is a sponsor of the Bobby’s Afterschool Basketball Programme.
President of the Guyana Basketball Officials’ Council (GBOC), Cecil Chin, said that the gesture is aimed at sustaining the development of the sport in Guyana.
He said that Barker was one of an extended list of early members of Courts Pacesetters.
