The Community field, Meadow Brook Drive, Meadow Brook Gardens is the venue for today’s annual Stag Beer 18-team domino competition, 5-A-Side football and Bar-B-Que organised by Gittens and FairFox Productions.
The football competition is open to all age groups, while the domino competition will be played on a two in one out basis from the third round with four games per sitting.
Football action will kick off at 09:00hrs and conclude at 14:00hrs. Bar-B-Que will be on sale from 12:00hrs up until 19:00hrs, while double six-time for the domino is 14:30hrs.
The winning team in the domino competition will walk away with $150,000 and Trophy; Second place attracts $75,000 and Trophy and Third $50,000 and Trophy. The first player to administer the First Double Love will win $3,000 and a Trophy.
Each team is required to walk with a good pack of playable dominoes with the entrance fee being $12,000 per team inclusive of one case of Stag Beer.
Teams expected to be in the reckoning for the top prize are Strikers, F&H Supremes, International 6, Next Level, Wild Bunch, Mix Up, TNT, Specialist, Robb Street Strikers, Brazil, Rage, Turning Point, Lions, Gangsters, Providence, West Side, YK6, Frankies, Pressure Point, Regroup, Mean Machine, One Love, Impressors, Arsenal, Tone, Even Six, Mo Fire, Birds Nest, LRB and Straight Point among others.
