Regan Rodrigues Memorial 50-mile cycle road race set for Sunday

National Cycling Coach Hassan Mohamed MS has organized the 7th Annual Memorial Regan Rodrigues 50 Miles Cycle Road Race for Sunday August 7 on the West Bank of Demerara.
The race will commence from Wales Police Station at 09:00hrs, proceed to Bushy Park on the East Bank of Demerara before returning to Demerara Harbour Bridge for the finish.
The Veterans, Uprights and Females will turn back at Uitvlugt Community Centre, returning to the Harbour Bridge.
The first six finishers, three juniors, 3 Veteran, three Upright, 2 Female and the first Veteran over 60 yrs will all receive prizes.   Eight Prime Prizes to be won during the course of the race.
Regan Rodrigues, in whose honour over the years, the race was held, was a Former President of the Guyana Cycle Federation, President of Carlton Wheelers Cycle Club and Former Motor Racing Champion and Sports Enthusiast.
The Race is sponsored by Ricks and Sari Argo Industries Limited.

Veteran – Gary Benjamin
Upright – Kester Croal
Female – Marcia Dick
Veteran-o-60 yrs – Monty Parris
