The Ministry of Culture, Youth & Sport (MCYS) in collaboration with Roger Hinds will be hosting an Emancipation Day Football Competition on Monday, August 1, at the Mahdia Centre ground in Region 9.
According to a release from the organisers, two matches are scheduled to be played with the feature being Mahdia senior team taking on the community’s Under-23 unit, while Mahdia’s under-17 line-up will engage Campbelltown in the other match to complete the double-header card.
Kick-off time is 18:00 hrs. Businessman Roger Hinds has put up attractive cash incentives for the outstanding performers. Parliamentary Secretary in the MCYS Steve Ninvalle will be on hand for the action and to make the presentation at the end.
